Default Gimp 2?

does anyone use it? i've heard it's a free download...but is it good quality?

Yes, Gimp is an Open Source (Free) Photoshop Like program. It's quite good and quite powerful, but some things are not so easy to find if you are used to photoshop and the like. It's all there, but it does take a bit of getting used to. Still, for Free compared to $99 for Photoshop Elements and $300-$650 for the full blown Photoshop depending on what deal you can get, Gimp is a great alternative.

The main downside I see, is that there's a lot of books for Photoshop and I don't know of any for Gimp.
